The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is the nation’s original parent group in schools. For more than 100 years, PTA has promoted the education, health and safety of children and families. PTA is the largest non-profit volunteer association in the United States, connecting 6 million parents and 26,000 local units with their children’s schools and activities.
Membership is open to anyone who believes in the Mission and Purposes of PTA. Individuals may belong to any number of PTA's and pay dues in each. Every person who joins a local PTA automatically becomes a member of both the state PTA and the National PTA. National PTA has a long legacy of working with schools and local communities to improve the learning environment and academic achievements of children and youth.
The PTA Mission
Becoming a member of the Towne Acres PTA allows you to become a part of this national association helping children – ALL CHILDREN. Parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, ministers, friends, and other community leaders are encouraged to join us in this effort for our children. It costs only $5.00 per member and is a small investment with big rewards (check out the discount program below!). Remember, your membership is tax-deductible.
The Towne Acres PTA uses the funds received from membership dues and the fall carnival to provide outstanding programs for our children and to purchase much needed supplies and equipment for our school. Won’t you join us in the effort? Encourage everyone to join in providing more for our children. Feel free to contact any PTA board member at any time to ask questions or make suggestions concerning your PTA. All information in the PTA Bylaws and budget is available to you at any time. We look forward to you attending our monthly meetings and becoming involved at Towne Acres.
